Person of the day today instead…Prinny was a nickname for the Prince Regent, George IV.

“Prinny is holding a ball at Carlton House on the 20th.”
“Ninny is holding a what?”
“Prinny! The Prince Regent. George. You know, the large man with the mistresses.”
“Oh. Well, I wasn’t really wrong than, was I?”
“He gave us the largest donation the museum has ever seen.”

Familiarly nicknamed “Prinny”, George was unpopular in many quarters, and was the subject of scurrilous cartoons in the press of the day relating to his various extravagances.
